Lower back pain is one of the most common health complaints for adults and one of the common reasons people seek chiropractic care. For many people, it does not just affect comfort. It can make it harder to sit, stand, bend, lift, exercise, work, or enjoy normal daily activities.

Jorde Chiropractic Clinic is hosting a free community workshop on Lower Back Pain & Core Strength as part of our Community Wellness Series.

This workshop is designed for anyone who wants to better understand lower back pain, improve strength and support around the spine, and learn simple strategies to move with more confidence.

You do not need to be a current patient to attend. This is a community education FREE event open to the public.

What You’ll Learn

During this workshop, we will cover practical ways to better understand lower back pain and support your back through better movement, strength, and daily habits. Whether your pain is new or something you've dealt with for years, you'll leave with practical information you can use right away.

You will learn about:

Common Reasons Lower Back Pain Develops

Lower back pain can happen for many reasons. It may be related to lifting, bending, sitting too long, stiffness, weakness, repetitive activity, or simply not moving as well as your body should.

This class will explain common reasons people develop lower back pain in a simple, easy-to-understand way.

Core Strength Is More Than Just Abs

When people hear “core strength,” they often think only about the front abdominal muscles. Those muscles matter, but they are only part of the picture. Your lower back also needs support from the muscles along the spine, including the small stabilizing muscles of the back, the larger muscles that help you stand upright, the hips, and the glutes.

In this workshop, you will learn why a strong core is not just about doing sit-ups. It is about helping the front, back, and sides of your body work together to support your spine.

Simple Exercises to Support Your Lower Back

Many people with lower back pain are unsure where to start. Some exercises may feel too hard, while others may not seem to help. We will talk about simple exercises and strategies that can help improve strength, control, and support around the lower back. The goal is to help your body move better without making things overly complicated.

Moving and Lifting With Confidence

Lower back pain can make people nervous about bending, lifting, carrying, or doing normal daily activities. This workshop will include practical tips for moving and lifting with better control so you can feel more confident during everyday tasks.

Staying Active Doing the Things You Enjoy

Having lower back pain does not always mean you need to stop moving. In many cases, the right kind of movement can help you stay active while building strength over time. We will discuss ways to keep moving, reduce unnecessary strain, and continue doing the things you enjoy.

Who Should Attend?

This free class is a good fit for people who:

  • Have recurring lower back pain

  • Feel stiff or weak through the lower back or hips

  • Want to improve core strength safely

  • Have discomfort with bending, lifting, sitting, standing, or carrying

  • Want simple tips for protecting the lower back during daily activity

  • Want to stay active but are not sure where to start

  • Prefer practical, conservative strategies for lower back pain

Why This Workshop Matters

Lower back pain can be frustrating, especially when it keeps coming back or limits your daily life. The good news is that many people can benefit from learning how the lower back is supported, how movement affects symptoms, and how simple strength exercises can help.

This workshop is not meant to be a complicated lecture. It is designed to give you information you can understand and use.

Our goal is to help you leave with a clearer understanding of your lower back and practical steps to support it.
